After leaving Douglas Aircraft following the Second World War, Bill Tritt began to produce small sailboats as part of his Glasspar company. Entering into powerboats, Glasspar Boats through the 1950s and 1960s became a dominant force as an early, effective adapter to fiberglass vessels. Bowing to increased competition in the fiberglass watercraft sector, Glasspar Boats was sold to Larson Boat Works in the early 1980s. Products built by Glasspar Boats are abundant and continue to be supported with a fan following.
