Marine Innovators Incorporated was founded in 1978 in the state of Florida as a sailboat builder. Producing the twin sail Beachcomber 25-foot sailboat initially, Marine Innovators Incorporated entered the powerboat in business in 1984 adding the Beachcat. Marine Innovators Incorporated would discontinue operations in 1987 but the company would later assume the name Beachcat Boats Incorporated.
