In 1956, Le Comte yachts became marketing their first sailing boats in the United States through the state of New York. Originally selling a wooden Malabar Sr and Nordfarer 42 vessel, Le Comte migrated to fiberglass yachts entering the 1960s. At one time providing 52-foot sailing yacht to water-going enthusiasts, Le Comte would see its business turn downward through the 1980s.
