Building hovercrafts as far back as the 1970s, Sunrider rose to popularity with their Surface Flight craft in 1974. Evolving from the early two-seat hovercraft, 11 and 13-foot product were manufactured by Hovercraft Industries Incorporated/Sunrider through the 1980s into the 1990s. A two-seat hovercraft, the company’s Sunrider II has occupants seated side-by-side. Based in Florida, Hovercraft Industries Incorporated/Sunrider officially went out of business in 1992.
