Founded by a former architectural student who started building boats as a hobby, Sonic USA emerged through the late 1970s under the young Jeff Ross. Creating solid performance boats for inshore and offshore travels, the reputation of Sonic USA has been aided by the accumulation of competition trophies. Ranging in sizes from 22 to 45 feet in length, the boats produced by Sonic USA received propulsion from outboard, sea and stern drive marine powerplants. Construction of Sonic USA boats would change hands after the 2004 model year with CSI Marine manufacturing the Sonic brand.
