A marine company originating in 1921 by a German immigrant to the United States, Penn Yan Boats Incorporated was founded in the state of New York. Building wooden speedboats up until the end of 1966, Penn Yan Boats Incorporated shifted to modern fiberglass construction for a line-up of powerboats that would later include cuddy and small family fishing vessels. The Penn Yan Boats Incorporated name was operated as part of American Marine during the 1980s. Penn Yan Boats Incorporated would disappear after the 2001 model year producing 19 to 31-foot watercraft across multiple product lines.
