Sabre Yachts was founded in 1971 initially in the construction of 28-foot fiberglass sailboat. A South Casco, Maine boat manufacturer of large sailboats, Sabre Yachts began integrating powerboats into their fiberglass boat line-up onward from 1989. Sabre Yachts watercrafts, both sailboats and motor yachts, were sold in lengths from 28 to 42 feet. After a brief time out of business, the Sabre Yachts company was purchased by a new owner and renamed Sabre Corporation.
