The Cheney Weeder Company has a rich history as an American industrial entity relating back to 1910. In 1983, the Chinook pontoon boat brand became an expansion of the Cheney Weeder Company with vessels ranging from 16 to 28 feet initially. With 30-foot pontoon added later to the Cheney Weeder/Chinook line-up, the vessels incorporate the usage of strong, weather resistant aluminum.
