Founded by the Carter family in Adel, Georgia, Lancer Boats began building fiberglass fishing craft for the 1985 model year. Featuring a number of bow designs, Lancer Boats ranging between 14 to 17 feet in length were offered as suitable choices for inshore fishing. The Lancer Boats company would shut down in 2006 but most of the marine manufacturer vessels continue to be produced afterwards by Lacer Marine.
