A mid-size luxury sedan, the 1998 Acura TL seats five passengers and is available with a five or six-cylinder engine. The base TL is powered by a 2.5L inline five-cylinder engine which produces 176 hp and receives a 25 mpg highway fuel economy rating. Also available is a 3.2L V6 which generates 200 hp and only loses 1 mpg on the highway, with a rating of 24 mpg. Both versions utilize a four-speed automatic transmission.
