Five years after the debut of the Dodge Neon, the compact car has been completely redesigned and extensively re-engineered. The longer, more refined 2000 Neon is only offered as a four-door sedan. The Dodge Intrepid obtains a new level of performance 2000 thanks to the return of the historically significant R/T moniker. The 2000 Intrepid R/T features a 242-horsepower version of Chrysler's 3.5-liter V-6 powerplant. The two-door Dodge Avenger is only offered as a six-cylinder powered coupe for 2000. Leading changes to the Dodge truck line-up, an all-new 4.7-liter Magnum V-8 engine is now offered on the Dodge Dakota and Durango. With the 2000 Ram, buyers can now access an Off Road Package.
