The 2000 Saturn SL is an economical sedan that seats five passengers and boasts a 40 mpg highway fuel economy rating. The base engine is a 100 hp 1.9L four-cylinder unit paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The top-of-the-range SL2 receives a 1.9L which produces 124 hp yet is still very fuel efficient. Along with the aforementioned manual transmission, a four-speed automatic is optional.
