For 2002, a wagon version of the Volkswagen Jetta now provides an addition level of practicality to the model line. The Volkswagen New Beetle is granted a Turbo S model in 2002 that consists of a 180-horsepower engine connected to a six-speed manual transmission. A special limited edition Volkswagen GTI 337 is offered with a 180-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission. Only 1,500 examples of the GTI 337 will be offered in the United States.
