Mercedes’ Convertible Class – the SL – sees some upgrades and additions this year, including a new, industry-first 7-speed automatic transmission and a dealer-installed satellite radio (as optional equipment). The SL Class is comprised of the SL500, the SL55, the SL600 and the SL65 added mid-year as an ’05 model. The SL500 feature a 302 horsepower 5.0-liter V8, the SL55 features a 493 horsepower 5.4-liter V8, the SL600 comes equipped with a 493 horsepower 5.5-liter V12 and the SL65 touts a 604 horsepower 6.0-liter V12.
