The 2004 Mercury Mountaineer is available in three trim levels – the Convenience, the Luxury and the Premier (with or without AWD). This four door, seven passenger SUV – considered one of the best SUVs in the mid-size category – features a 210 horsepower 4.0-liter gas-powered V6 with a 5-speed automatic transmission as standard (buyers also have the option of a V8). The Mountaineer’s list of standard equipment is impressive and includes cruise control, keyless entry, power steering, windows, locks and mirrors, lumbar seats, ABS brakes and a parking aid.
