The upscale version of the standard Volkswagen Golf, the 2004 Volkswagen GTI boasts quick speeds and even quicker responsiveness, with upgraded equipment compared to its standard Golf counterpart. The GTI features a 180 horsepower 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder and 173 lb.-ft of torque (with your choice of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission). The GTI VR6 gets a 200 horsepower 2.8-liter V6 with 195 lb.-ft of torque and a 6-speed manual transmission. The GTI is offered as a Hatchback and for 2004, a leather package is now optional.
