The 2006 BMW X5 is available in 3.0i, 4.4i and 4.8is trim levels, with engines ranging from a 225 horsepower 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder to a 315 horsepower 4.4-liter V8, with the top of the line 4.8is getting a 355 horsepower 4.8-liter V8. New for 2006, the X5 features a sleek, more aerodynamic stance (compared to last year’s design), as well as an additional 7-inches of length. With seating capacity for up to five and robust safety features, such as front/side-head/side-body airbags, ABS brakes, traction control and a parking aid, the X5 comes with many luxury amenities.
