New for 2006, the four-door five- passenger Malibu is available in several trim levels – the LS , LT and LT1 come standard with a 2.2Liter four-cylinder that produces 144HP, and the LTZ and SS both feature a 3.9Liter V6 that produces 217HP and 240HP respectively. All models come standard with a four-speed automatic transmission.
