The 2006 Malibu Maxx is a five-door five-passenger hatchback available in LS and LTZ trim levels. Both trims levels come standard with a 3.5Liter V6 that generates 217HP (up from 201HP for 2005), and an SS model that has the 3.9Liter V6 that produces 240HP. All models are front-wheel-drive and are only offered with a four-speed automatic transmission.
