The 2006 Volkswagen GTI is a sporty, two door Hatchback version of its sibling, the Volkswagen Golf. It’s offered in a 1.8T trim level, with a 5-speed automatic or manual transmission. It comes equipped with a more powerful engine than the Golf as well – 65 more to be exact – at 180 horses generated from a 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder with 173 lbs.-ft of torque. Zippy and responsive, the GTI comes equipped with front and rear air conditioning, cruise control, keyless entry, heated lumbar seats, a leather-wrapped adjustable steering wheel, ABS brakes and traction control.
