2008 model year changes

A new 2.4L inline four-cylinder gas engine joins the Mitsubishi Outlander lineup for 2008. It is matched with a continuously variable transmission and comes standard on the entry-level ES trim, which is now available in both two- and four-wheel drive. Remote keyless entry is a new standard item on the ES, while the Outlander XLS gets an auxiliary input jack and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

A genuinely sporty SUV; low price; lots of equipment for the money.

Special features for 2008

The 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander offers large amounts of both sport and utility in a midsize package. An aluminum 3.0L V6 and 2.4L four-cylinder, a firm suspension, and a relatively low center of gravity make the Outlander more spirited than other SUVs in the same segment.

The 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander comes back by an outstanding warranty and offers flexibility and convenience for families on the go. This four door SUV features a versatile liftgate/tailgate for easy loading and your choice of four trims – the ES, the LS, the SE and the top-of-the-line XLS. Engines range from a 168 horsepower 2.4-liter inline 4-cylinder to a 220 horsepower 3.0-liter gas-powered V6 in two and four wheel drive configurations. The Outlander offers seating for up to five and a decent list of standard equipment, including air, keyless entry, ABS and MP3 audio.
