For 2009, the Aston Martin DB9, a two-door coupe or convertible with 2+2 seating, features light exterior revisions, more horsepower, a quicker-shifting ZF transmission, revised suspension and an updated interior with keyless ignition and sound deadening. Powered by a new 6.0L V12 engine that produces 470 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, the DB9 can rise from zero to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 190 mph. Either a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available, and both transmissions are located at the rear transaxle for better weight distribution. EPA-rated fuel economy is estimated at 12 mpg city/19 mpg hwy for the automatic transmission and 11/17 for the manual transmission. Aston Martin DB9 standard features include eight-way power heated seats, a navigation system, 19-inch wheels, xenon headlamps, Bluetooth connectivity and a 128-watt Linn audio system with six-CD changer and auxiliary audio jack. The coupe is available with a Sports Pack that provides firmer spring, shock and antiroll bar settings.
