2009 Audi R8 Values
The 2009 Audi R8 is a carryover from the 2008 Audi R8, which is Audi's first ever mid-engine sports car. The 2009 R8 has a 420-hp V8 engine and AWD. It shares the mid-engine platform with the Lamborghini Gallardo. The Audi R8 features a standard manual in addition to the optional automated manual transmission. Audi claims a 0-62 mph time of 4.6 seconds, which many are deeming on the conservative side. The 2009 R8 offers the choice of LED or Xenon headlamps surrounded by LED running lights and indicators. The LEDs even make their way into the engine bay of the Audi R8, if you want to admire your V8 after hours. Options on the R8 include a Bang & Olufsen sound system featuring 12 specially designed speakers which adjust to changing road conditions to improve sound quality. There are 8 exterior color options, not counting the Side Blade, for the R8 ranging from Ibis White to Phantom Black. If you are looking for a balanced supercar that makes you look like a better driver than you really are, the Audi R8 is for you. You can drive it like a rookie, and it will make you feel like a pro.Read more Read less
Audi's R8 supercar returns for 2009 following its much lauded introduction in 2008. The mid-engined V8 rocket sees few changes. Among them are a slight pricing increase for both manual and R-tronic models. A 6-CD changer is now standard, as are the Bluetooth handsfree interface and Homelink universal garage door opener. A high-gloss polished version of the standard 19-inch wheels is now available, as well as carbon fiber inlays for the interior and engine compartment trim. Navigation is now a separate $2000 option.
Supercar at half the price; head-turning looks; exhilarating performance; luxurious interior.
Audi's 2009 R8 delivers a driving and ownership experience that only the most exclusive marques can beat, and it does so at a cost that is virtually half of most of its competitors. The striking styling, the mid-mounted engine, and the thrilling exhaust note come together to create a dynamic driving machine that is nothing short of exquisite. The R8 can sprint to 60 mph in just over four seconds and can ably run through whatever curves you might find. The R8 marries German engineering with Italian verve (the R8 shares its platform with the Lamborghini Gallardo) to great effect, and looks like nothing else on the road.
