Used 2009 BMW 1 Series Values
The 2009 BMW 1-Series is available as either a 2-door coupe or convertible with a power folding soft top. Largely unchanged following its introduction for the 2008 model year, the lineup includes 128i and 135i models. The 1-Series slides in below the BMW 3-Series in size and price. The 1-Series engines are 3.0L inline 6-cylinders that are found within the 3-Series. The BMW 128i has 230 hp, while the 135i has 300 hp, due to its being turbocharged. All models have a standard 6-speed manual transmission, or a 6-speed automatic is optional. Available safety features for the 2009 BMW 1-series include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, side-curtain airbags on the coupes and front airbags on both. A sunroof and split folding rear seat are standard on the 1-Series coupes. An available Premium Package includes leather upholstery, a power front seat and BMW's Assist system. A Sport Package includes upgraded trim, sport suspension on the 128i (standard on the 135i) and sport bucket seats. Other options include aluminum trim and heated front seats.Read more Read less
After the 1-series was introduced in 2008, BMW's entry-level model is mostly unchanged for 2009. It is still available in three trim levels, including the 128i, which features a 230-horsepower 3.0L inline six, and a 135i, which makes use of a 300-horsepower 3.0L inline six. BMW's active steering is no longer available on the 128i and the optional navigation system now utilizes the automaker's iDrive control system.
Entry-level pricing; sleek BMW family design; terrific straight-six engines; extensive standard features.
The 3-Series has been BMW's entry-level car since 1975. When the company's Mini Cooper became such a big hit in the hatchback market, the 1-Series was designed to slot in nicely just above it. It's a stylish little coupe that recalls the iconic 2002, and should offer plenty of competition to cars like the Audi A3 and Volvo C30.
