A popular full-size luxury sedan, the Cadillac DTS remains largely unchanged for the 2009 model year, adding only 17-inch chrome wheels and revised interior controls. Equipped with front-wheel drive and powered by either a 275-hp V8 with 295 lb-ft of torque or a 292-hp V8 with 288 lb-ft of torque, the CTS comes with a four-speed Hydro-Matic automatic transmission, while the Performance trim features recalibrated transmission shift programming for quicker responses. Fully equipped with numerous luxury features, the CTS can seat five or six passengers. Cadillac DTS standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, leather, OnStar, bi-xenon headlamps and CD/MP3 audio with satellite radio, plus many more luxury items, depending on the trim selected. A sunroof and DVD navigation system are available as options. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the base is 15 mpg city/23 mpg hwy, while the more powerful V8 loses one mpg on the highway.
