2009 Cadillac XLR-V Values

The Cadillac XLR-V lineup is reduced to a single trim level in 2009, as last year's Alpine White Edition has been discontinued. Powered by a 443-hp 4.4L V8 engine sending 414 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels, the supercharged XLR-V hardtop roadster is the quickest and most agile Cadillac model ever offered, reaching 60 mph in a mere 4.6 seconds. With its fresh new exterior styling cues, as detailed in Cadillac XLR-V photos, and advanced technologies, the two-seater is a tempting combination of dynamic performance, comfort and luxury. Keyless entry as well as heated and cooled front seats and premium Bose audio distinguish the XLR-V interior, along with special hand-sewn leather seats. Standard are safety items such as antilock disc brakes, traction control, stability control and side airbags that inflate to protect both the head and torso. EPA-estimated fuel economy stands at 14 mpg city/23 mpg hwy.

2009 model year changes View changes +

Cadillac's wedgy XLR convertible sees few changes for 2009. Certain exterior colors and interior wood trim accents have been deleted, as have the "Supercharged" emblem from the doors of the XLR-V model. The Platinum Edition becomes the base XLR. New features include updated wheels for the XLR-V, restyled grille and fog lamps, Bluetooth capability with OnStar, a leather-wrapped upper interior area on both XLR and XLR-V, and a few new interior trim combinations.

Special features for 2009 View special features +

The 2009 Cadillac XLR features a standard retractable hard top, which most of its competitors don't. The Cadillac is more elegantly simple than many of its peers, as well, with no complex driving electronics and no performance adjustments to be made. Its Corvette underpinnings make it a potent luxury drop-top on par with the Mercedes-Benz SL and Jaguar XK models.
