2009 Honda CR-V Values
Largely unchanged from last year, the 2009 Honda CR-V unveils several new exterior paint colors, such as crystal black pearl, alabaster silver metallic and urban titanium metallic. Powered by a 2.4L four-cylinder engine that delivers 166 hp and 161 lb-ft of torque, the Honda CR-V is coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission. There is a choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive that powers the rear wheels when the front wheels could slip. EPA fuel economy estimates come in at 20 mpg city/27 mpg hwy and 23 mpg for combined driving. Honda CR-V standard safety equipment features stability control, antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags. Options include parking sensors on base trim levels and a back-up camera on the EX-L trims that are equipped with the navigation system. Outstanding crash test scores earned the CR-V a perfect five stars for both front and side crash protection. With a five-passenger capacity and five doors, this compact SUV is a reliable traveler that carries both humans and cargo handily.Read more Read less
For 2009 Honda carries the CR-V over with no changes, except three new exterior colors: Crystal Black Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic and Urban Titanium Metallic.
Roomy interior; manageable size and maneuverability; smooth ride; impressive safety
The CR-V is a compact 5-passenger vehicle that, in driving manners, shares more in common with sedans than with traditional SUVs; it handles surprisingly well for its height, yet doesn't compromise ride quality. Crash test safety is another strong point; the CR-V has achieved top ratings in U.S. tests and is an IIHS Top Safety Pick.
