After a complete redesign last year, the 2009 Volvo V70 wagon gains standard Bluetooth connectivity and fog lights, as well as an optional technology package encompassing active bi-xenon headlights plus washers, satellite radio, a premium audio system and rear-seat headphone jacks and audio controls. The V70 is equipped with a 3.2L inline-6 engine producing 235 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, teamed with the mandatory six-speed automatic with manual shift control and front-wheel drive. Fuel economy is EPA-rated at 16 mpg city/24 mpg hwy and 20 mpg combined. Volvo V70 standard safety equipment boasts an exemplary stable of features including stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, active front head restraints and two integrated two-stage child booster seats with adaptive seatbelts. Optional safety features include the collision avoidance package and blind-spot warning system. Seating five passengers, the four-door wagon can also carry a cartload of cargo.
