Redesigned last year, the 2009 Volvo XC70 wagon receives standard Bluetooth connectivity and the new technology package that includes active bi-xenon headlights plus washers, satellite radio, a premium audio system and rear-seat headphone jacks and audio controls. The new T6 adds a watch-dial instrument cluster and aluminum interior trim. The Volvo XC70 3.2 is equipped with a 3.2L inline-6 engine cranking out 235 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque joined to a six-speed automatic with manual shift capability and all-wheel drive. The Volvo XC70 T6 is powered by a new turbocharged 3.0L inline-6 engine that churns out 281 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque with the automatic transmission and AWD system. EPA fuel economy estimates for the 3.2 are 15 mpg city/23 mpg hwy and 18 mpg combined, while the T6 drops that by 1 mpg on the highway. Standard safety equipment includes stability control, hill descent control, antilock disc brakes, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and front head restraints. The collision avoidance package and blind-spot warning system are optional.
