The 2012 BMW X3 is a compact SUV available in two different trim levels; standard xDrive28i and an optional xDrive35i. The standard X3 is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 240 hp while the upgraded trim gets the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that yields 300 hp. Both trims are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission that enables the X3 to achieve an EPA estimated 21 mpg and 28 mpg highway.
