The standard Genesis is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 333 hp and 291 lb-ft of torque. For added performance Hyundai offers the 5.0 R-SPEC trim, featuring a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces a whopping 429 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. RWD is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission for an EPA estimated range of 16 mpg city to 29 mpg highway, depending on engine selection.
