Fresh off of last year's improvements, the 2013 Kia Soul is a compact hatchback available with two different engines; a standard 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque, and an optional 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that yields 164 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options consist of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 26 mpg city to 36 mpg highway, depending on transmission and engine selection. Features include 18-inch wheels, sport-tuned suspension, power sunroof with tilt, hands-free phone capabilities, paddle shifters, leather trim, and push-button start. Safety is comprised of advanced airbags, brake assist (BA), anti-lock braking (ABS), traction control (TCS), electronic brake distribution (EBD), and tire pressure monitoring (TPMS).
