Now available with launch control, the 2013 Volkswagen GLI is a FWD performance compact sedan with seating for five. The GLI is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque. Transmission options consist of a standard 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed DSG® automatic transmission. Fuel mileage falls within an EPA estimated range of 22 mpg city to 33 mpg highway. A 4-corner independent suspension enables the GLI to handle light and grip corners. Features include bi-xenon headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, multi-function steering wheel, keyless access with push button start, leather seats, touch-screen navigation system, and hands-free phone capability. Safety is comprised electronic stability control (ESC), advanced airbags, anti-slip regulation, electronic brake distribution (EBD), electronic differential lock, anti-lock braking system (ABS) and hydraulic brake assist (HBA). The GLI is backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
