Updated for 2014 with standard navigation, the BMW 5 Series is available with either RWD or AWD. Engines consist of a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder (240 hp), a 3.0-liter turbocharged I-6 (300 hp), a new 3.0-liter turbo-diesel I-6 (255 hp), and a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine (445 hp). Drivetrains are standard RWD or optional xDrive AWD. An 8-speed automatic transmission (optional 6-speed manual also available on select trims) enables fuel mileage to fall within an EPA estimated range of 17 mpg city to 38 mpg highway, depending on engine selection.
