The ELR is powered by a combination of a 1.4-liter combustion engine and electric drive unit producing 157 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. FWD, paired with a 1-speed automatic transmission, enables a total range of 300 miles and charging can be done with 120 volt (12.5-18 hour charge time) or 240 volt outlets (5 hour charge time).
