In 2013, Hyundai introduced the recently redesigned Elantra as a two-door coupe. The first time the Hyundai Elantra was offered in a sportier body style, the Elantra Coupe was an extension of styling the South Korean auto company referred to a Fluidic Sculpture design language. Possessing an exterior shape with a 0.28 drag coefficient, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe is 0.4 inches longer in overall length than the its sedan counterpart.


Four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system, alloy wheels, tire pressure monitoring system and daytime running lights are standard exterior equipment on the vehicle. Power for the 2013 Elantra Coupe arrives from a 1.8-liter Nu four-cylinder engine featuring D-CVVT (Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing). Generating 148 horsepower and 131 pound-feet of torque, the Hyundai powerplant is paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.


When equipped with a manual transmission, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe can achieve fuel economy of 28 miles per gallon city and 38 miles per gallon on the highway. Configured to fit five passengers, the cabin of the Elantra Coupe utilizes soy-based foam in the seating and offers available leather seating. A considerable amount of interior convenience features are found standard inside the Hyundai Elantra Coupe such as air conditioning, power door locks, tilt/telescopic steering wheel and a six-speaker stereo system with Bluetooth connectivity.


For 2014, the Hyundai Elantra Coupe received an all-new 2.0-liter engine employing gasoline direct injection. The new powerplant gave the Elantra Coupe is spirited performance improvement thanks to 173 horsepower.
