Known as the QX56 since its debut as a full-sized luxury sport utility vehicle in 2004, the product was rebranded as the Infiniti QX80 for 2014. Featuring a premium cabin large enough for up to eight occupants, leather seating, tri-zone climate control, eight-inch color touchscreen and Bose 13-speaker premium audio system with two subwoofers is standard equipment. Bose surround sound and an Advanced Climate Control System including a Plasmacluster air purifier were available as optional add-ons. Propelling the Infiniti QX80 is a high-tech 5.6-liter V-8 engine featuring gasoline direct injection and VVEL (Variable Valve Event & Lift). Generating 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, engine momentum is channeled through a rear-wheel drive or a four-wheel drive system. The Infiniti QX80 was upgraded with LED headlights and a revised grille. In 2016, a QX80 Signature Edition featuring special exterior accents, Saddle Tan high-contrast leather interior and Driver's Assistance Package was introduced with production limited to 1,000 vehicles.
