Introduced as a brand-new model in 2008, the Mini Cooper Clubman was based upon the design of its Cooper cousin, but incorporated a bigger wheelbase, offered a more spacious interior and featured a split cargo door with a passenger-side door, amongst other unique features. New additions to the 2009 model included roof rails, a vanity spoiler in the rear, and numerous interior and exterior style tweaks. In 2010, cruise control was added as was an upgraded steering and sound system (Harmon Kardon). A reworked and even more improved steering system, along with a slight increase of horsepower and minor updates to trims were offered for 2011. No changes were in store for 2012, but Bluetooth became a standard feature in 2013. The Cooper Clubman remained unchanged for 2014.
