Nissan Rogue Select Models and Rogue Select History

For 2014, the Nissan Rogue received a complete redesign highlighted by a wider wheelbase and improved interior that gained optional third-row seating. During the 2014 and 2015 model year, Nissan continued selling the previous generation Rogue to accommodate buyers seeking a compact crossover for a lower price. Called the Nissan Rogue Select, vehicle was marketed as a streamlined entry-level with a manufacturer suggested retail price starting below $20,000. The crossover vehicle was only available in a single trim level (Rogue Select S) but did offer a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The Nissan Rogue Select's power was derived from the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine carried-over to the 2014 Rogue. The 170-horsepower powerplant was linked to a Nissan Xtronic continuously variable transmission allowing for combined city/highway fuel economy above 25 miles per gallon. Standard equipment attached to the Nissan Rogue Select included Nissan Advanced Air Bag System, power windows, remote keyless entry and air conditioning. An optional S Convenience Package added cruise control, 4.3-inch color audio display and Bluetooth connectivity. Dropping the Rogue Select for the 2016 model year, Nissan introduced the Rogue Sport as a new lower-cost crossover in 2017.
