Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Models and CTS-V Coupe History

Cadillacs V line expanded for the 2011 model year recognizing the performance desires of the CTSs newer body styles. For the first time, the CTS-V Coupe could be ordered in 2011 granting the high-speed potential that was previously reserved to the sedan. The crowning component to the 2011 CTS-V Coupe was the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 power unit. A 556-horsepower engine, fed the rear wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission incorporating Performance Algorithm Shifting. As the ideal accompaniment to the vehicles engine performance, the luxury coupe was outfitted with a fast-responding Magnetic Ride Control system, efficient power application through a limited-slip differential and the stopping power of Brembo brakes. Standard exterior features on the CTS-V Coupe included high-intensity discharge headlights, Rainsense automatic windshield wipers and 19-inch aluminum wheels. Inside the 2+2 passenger cabin, the 2011 CTS-V Coupe provided front seat occupants with standard bucket seats with eight-way power adjustment. Recaro performance seating was optional on the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. Dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity along with a 10-speaker stereo system with Bose 5.1 Surround Sound and a 40-gigabyte hard drive was standard on the performance luxury coupe in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, changes to the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe have been modest. For 2014, a Sport Blue interior package detailed with Twilight Blue leather seating and Midnight Sapele wood trim became available. Since 2011, the Cadillac CTS-V has been a force in motorsports. During 2012 and 2013, CTS-V race cars have won the manufacturers title in the SCCA World Challenge series.
