In 2006, Lexus released the IS 350. The car was designed to replace the discontinued IS 300, offering an updated powertrain and a plethora of new features. It boasted a hearty 3.5-liter V6 engine that was capable of producing 306 horsepower. The 2006 model year offered a new X package, and featured cut-off switches for traction and stability control, and a few other minor tweaks. New graphite wheel finishes were offered for the 2007 model year, and updated front seats boasted increased legroom in the back. Nominal interior and exterior updates were made to the 2008 model, including suspension and stability system upgrades. A new GPS system with brand new inputs was the only notable change for the 2010 model year. Updated body style, an all-wheel-drive version and a new F Sport package graced the 2011 model year, which now offered adaptive xenon headlamps. No significant changes were made for 2012, but in 2013, Lexus added HD radio and integrated apps for smartphone users. The overhauled IS 350 was released in 2014, featuring a brand new body style and a completely redesigned interior that featured more standard equipment and new options.
