Mazda B-Series 4WD Truck Models and B-Series 4WD Truck History

The B-Series 4WD Truck got a new 4WD system for 1998 that was more responsive and capable. It complemented updated front suspension and a beefier 2.5-liter engine. In 1998, a Cab Plus 4 package was added that offered a four-door cab, and all V6 models now could add a class III hitch receiver. The 2001 model year saw a trailer hitch being made standard, with options for a 6,000 pound upgrade. Various trim improvements were made and foglights were made standard. The B-Series 4WD truck passed through model years 2002-2004 relatively unchanged. In 2005, minor interior and exterior updates were made, including new airbags, a new steering wheel and updated seating. For 2006, SE and Dual Sport versions of this truck now featured cruise control, a trip computer, a bedliner and powered side mirrors as standard options. The only significant change for 2007 was the addition of the new tire-pressure monitoring system, otherwise this truck remained unchanged as it entered its final year of production.
