Toyota Celica Models and Celica History

Aside from tweaks to upper trim levels, much was the same for the Celica in 1998. For 1999, Toyota rolled out a brand-new Celica design that offered more performance with 180 hp under the hood, a sleeker design and a new speed box. Following the redesign, model years 2000 through the 2002 Celica saw no major updates. A restyled Celica was lauded for 2003, with new front and rear fascias and bumpers, new HID headlamps, new rear tail lamps, a new center dash cluster, powered antenna and upgraded JBL audio system. The Celica would cruise through model years 2004-2005 basically unchanged.
