RV Market Update

2014 was a strong year for the RV industry and 2015 is expected to continue strong. 2014 RV shipments were up almost 11% over 2013. 2015 shipments are projected to exceed 2014 by more than 6%. These gains are mostly due to standard hitch and fifth wheel trailers according to RVIA. has seen an increase in standard hitch travel trailer consumer traffic. This segment remains the most researched RV category among consumers, dealers, and financial institutions, followed by class A motorhomes and fifth wheel trailers. We expect to see similar trends through this spring and summer.

January-February 2015 Versus March-April 2015

Due to a strong economy, low gas prices, and low interest rates, market conditions for the RV industry remain tight. This is reflected in the increased values for used motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers. Additionally, consumers are confident and thus, willing to pay higher prices for newer models. The outlook for future sales continue to look good as inflation remains in check coupled with low interest rates and gas prices.
