A former American motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1983, Buell Motorcycles were originally intended for Formula 1 motorcycle racing but later changed its focus to race-inspired street motorcycles. Buell later became a wholly owned subsidiary of Harley-Davidson and remained so until its discontinuation in 2009.
